The members of the Reactive Flow Modeling Laboratory benefit from the availability of state of the art computational resources as well as experimental facilities. Close collaboration with the Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC) guarantees access to expertise in a number of diagnostics for thermal/fluid systems.
PIV flow field
A number of optical and advanced diagnostic tools are available to characterize velocity fields (Particle Image Velocimetry), droplet sizes (Phase Doppler Interferometer), mixing (acetone PLIF & planar Rayleigh scattering), aerosol distributions (Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer), and chemical composition (GC/MSD).
Shaheen racks

A dedicated 512-cpu Linux cluster and access to campus wide High-Performance-Computing platforms (IBM Blue Gene/P Shaheen), visualization facilities (Cornea), engineering workstations and a wide array of software licenses.
