Memdouh Belhi

Postdoctoral Fellow

Introduction

​​Dr. Memdouh Belhi has obtained his Ph.D. in Energetics from the National Institute of Applied Science (INSA) of Rouen (France) in May 2012. The subject of his dissertation is the numerical modeling of the electric field interaction with the combustion. This work is performed within the CORIA laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Pascale Domingo (Director of Research at CNRS). During his doctoral studies, Dr. Belhi has also served as Instructor at the INSA of Rouen (2008-2011) then as Temporary Lecturer and Research at the University of Rouen (2011-2012). After his Ph.D., he was recruited as a research engineer at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts of Paris. This work focused on the development of models for the design and performance analysis of turbomachinery.

Dr. Belhi was named as the winner of the prize "Paul Laffitte 2013", awarded by the French Section of the Combustion Institute, in recognition of his doctoral work particularly remarkable in the field of combustion.

Research Interests

Modeling of weak plasmas in flames and their interaction with electric fields.
